Linking 2D maps with 3D scenes
- [Instructor] 2D maps can be linked to 3D scenes. In fact, you can link multiple maps and scenes together so all the views are in sync. Let's try that now. First, in our 2D map, we're just going to add the buildings to the current map. Once we do that, we're going to convert that map into a local scene. So we'll convert to local scene. Once the map's loaded, we're going to extrude the buildings. So let's go ahead and extrude based on the building height, so we'll go to Feature Layer, Type, we'll do Max Height, and although there's quite a few buildings with a zero elevation, we're still going to use that height anyway, just for now for the demonstration. And if we rotate our view, we can see, sure enough we've extruded all the buildings. And there we are. Now we're going to create a new scene.
