Clipping layers

- [Instructor] Let's see how to clip layers in Affinity Publisher. On the first page of our file, we have a group, and it's composed of a rounded rectangle and a text frame with the title and author of the article. And let's say we wanted to put this pattern, which is a linked Affinity Designer graphic, inside the rectangle and behind the text. For that, I'm going to use the ability to clip one layer with another. All I have to do is select the pattern in the Layers panel and drag it right on top of the name of the layer that I want to use to clip the pattern, which is the rounded rectangle. And when I see a horizontal line appear beneath the rounded rectangle layer name, I'll release. So now the pattern is clipped by the rectangle. I'll drag it over to position it. And deselect.
