Accessing Adobe Media Encoder from Bridge
- [Instructor] Another option we have with Bridge is now the ability to hand off to Adobe Media Encoder. This tool is usually used when you need to convert from one format to another, or optimize a large video file for sharing on the web or in a presentation. What we can now do is select clips. Now, if you want to hand off those clips as individual files, just choose Tools, Media Encoder, add to Encoder queue. This will hand off all three files as three separate files. And you see here that all three files were handed off, where we could choose from different delivery options, file formats, et cetera. Now this works really nicely, but we also have the ability to stitch those together. So this means that if we hand that off to Media Encoder, we can choose to stitch them into one video file. Now all of those have been combined. If you look at this, that could be quite useful. Let's just delete these other two here. If we want it to deliver clips for the client to review, maybe it was three interviews and we wanted to stitch them all together and post it online for review. That can be quite useful rather than them having to watch three separate files. This will automatically combine them without the need to launch Premier Pro or edit them all together in a sequence. At this point in time, the ability to stitch multiple stills together doesn't really work perfectly. It's going to set each still to about a second, but hopefully in the future, Adobe will also give you control of stitching image sequences together as well to quickly create media files.
