- [Instructor] Adding new records to your database is as easy as filling the blanks. Each record, or horizontal row, will contain information about a single entity. In our case, the Guest table will collect information about the individuals that visit the Landon Hotel, with each row containing information about a single guest. Let's start to put in a couple of records into our database. We'll start by opening up the Guest table that we created in the last movie. If it's not already open, just double click on it here in the Navigation pane. Notice that each one is gonna get a unique ID number in the GuestID column. Right now it says New, and it's highlighted. If I just try and type in a number on my own, you'll notice that nothing happens, and down the bottom in this message area it says that the control can't be edited, it's bound to an Autonumber field. This is basically just saying that Access is gonna take care of this value for us. Let's go ahead and move over to the next column…
