With Black Friday weekend approaching, our analysis of 2024 peak season data confirms that it continues to be a major event for seasonal purchases across the retail landscape. Here are three standout trends from the BFCM weekend that all merchants should keep in mind: 1️⃣ Black Friday transaction volumes across the UK and US were 71% above the October average. 2️⃣ Saturday saw even higher transaction volumes than Cyber Monday, with a 7% increase. 3️⃣ Cyber Monday volumes were 33% higher than the October average. What does this mean for merchants? It’s clear that consumer demand is strong throughout the entire Black Friday weekend—not just on Friday and Monday.
