As many focus on Black Friday today, we’re choosing to end Indigenous Peoples Month by honoring something far more lasting: the strength, wisdom, and resilience of Indigenous communities across our region. This month, and every month, we are grateful for the rich cultural traditions and teachings that continue to guide healing within our programs. Through our Native American Cultural Enhancement Program (NACEP), we’re humbled to walk alongside individuals reconnecting with culture, identity, and community as part of their recovery journey. Today, we pause in gratitude, for the stories shared, the traditions honored, and the continued partnership of our Indigenous relatives. Their resilience is a reminder that hope is lived, carried, and passed forward. Volunteer Appreciation Days are truly some of our favorites! ❄️ Late last week, we gathered for a wonderful lunch prepared by our amazing kitchen team, and our hot chocolate bar was a total hit! Most importantly, we had the chance to celebrate and thank the outstanding volunteers who give their time, compassion, and energy to those we serve in Sheridan. Our Independent Living dinner was filled with gratitude and inspiration. We opened in prayer, celebrated our youth with awards, delivered fall baskets, and heard from a powerful speaker who once received these same services. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do - every young life is full of promise.🦃🍂

November marks Indigenous Peoples Month, a time to reflect on the profound history, strength, and enduring resilience of Indigenous communities. Their stories, traditions, and teachings continue to shape our region in powerful ways. This month and every month, we stand in gratitude and solidarity with Indigenous communities, recognizing the immeasurable contributions they bring to the world and honoring the wisdom that continues to guide us all.

Last week, we joined forces with Shamrock Foods Company and the Spotted Bull Recovery Resource Center to make sure families in our community feel supported and cared for this holiday season. Together, we delivered food boxes to more than 100 families, filled with: 🦃 28 turkeys 🐖 72 pork loins 🐔 64 whole chickens 🥔 60 bags of mashed potatoes 🍞 36 bags of stuffing 🌽 60 bags of corn 🫛 60 bags of green beans 🥖 480 rolls 🥧 120 pumpkin pies Every box was packed with love, dignity, and the hope of a brighter holiday. We’re grateful to stand with such incredible partners, and even more grateful for the chance to show up for our neighbors. ❤️

We were honored to welcome local artist Sonja Caywood to The Gathering Place, where she led 12 patients in a powerful art experience. Through brushstrokes, storytelling, and quiet reflection, participants shared how faith has encouraged healing and guided their paths in recovery. It was a moving reminder that creativity and hope often walk hand in hand. 🎨✨

⛄As we move through this season of reflection and gratitude, our Ministry Services team continues to walk alongside individuals and families with compassion, prayer, and hope. During the holidays, when emotions can feel heavier and needs run deeper, we meet people where they are. Offering spiritual care, encouragement, and a reminder that they are never alone. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our communities with faith, love, and purpose. ❤

🎉💛 A HUGE shoutout to Park County School District #6! 💛🎉 Last week, during their Veterans Day celebration, the amazing students donated $2,249.08 to support the mission of VOA Northern Rockies, all from their own pockets. 🥹👏 We’re blown away by their generosity, spirit, and heart for service. A special thank you to Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon for speaking at the celebration and helping make the day even more meaningful. Park City, we are truly honored to serve in your community.
