  • We are pleased to be working with Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) to launch the 'Spotting The Signs Challenge' to help people identify economic abuse. Together, we found that as many as 4.2m women in the UK experienced economic abuse last year*, and we know through our Flee Fund that it impacts men too. Please take the challenge below and help spread awareness of this devastating crime. (*Source: Ipsos UK interviewed 5,094 Adults aged 18+ in the UK between 22nd and 29th October 2025.)

Think you could spot the signs of economic abuse? The answers might shock you. We know that, despite being one of the most common forms of domestic abuse, too often economic abuse goes unnoticed. But once you know the signs, they can be easy to spot. And it could save a life. Test your knowledge today: https://lnkd.in/euzb9cRc Many thanks to TSB Bank for their support in launching this challenge. Together, we're helping more people to spot the signs and start life-saving conversations.

    • The question "Would you recognise the signs of economic abuse?" is overlaid on a purple background. A white arrow points towards the words "Take the challenge" on a dark blue banner.

It’s great to see our Thermal Detectives initiative featured in UK Finance’s new case study hub, which showcases more than 30 examples of positive climate and sustainability action by its members. Thermal Detectives is a campaign designed to make energy efficiency engaging and practical for colleagues. Using thermal imaging cameras, colleagues can spot hidden heat loss in their homes and then receive support to take action. Together, TSB Detectives saved an estimated 5tCO₂e—enough to power the average UK home for nearly two years. But the real impact comes from the ripple effect: colleagues shared their experiences with customers, teams, family, and friends, and posted on TSB’s internal Viva Engage platform and social media. Following the successful pilot, TSB has expanded the scheme significantly: 🏡 TSB Mortgage Intermediaries are piloting taking cameras on broker visits, helping brokers (who handle over 80% of UK mortgage lending) confidently discuss energy efficiency with customers. 🏡 All TSB mortgage advisers have received training on discussing warm, low-carbon homes with customers and signposting to TSB’s home energy partner Snugg. 🏡 Cameras are now available at all head office locations, doubling colleague reach.

Today at #COP30, we released a new case study hub, setting out more than 30 stories of positive climate and sustainability action by our members. The case studies, whether amounting to hundreds of billions of pounds in capital deployed for sustainable projects, or supporting vulnerable homeowners to retrofit their properties, demonstrate the breadth of the financial services sector’s backing for the transition. You can read these in full: https://lnkd.in/eQQyNxNS. On Monday, #UKFinance was confirmed by the UN as an observer to the climate negotiations during the opening plenary, giving access to talks and allowing the sector to continue supporting the process in the coming years.  For more information about our activity at COP30: https://lnkd.in/eK5jryQa.     #UKFinance #COP30 #Sustainability #GreenFinance

  • 💬 It’s #TalkMoney Week. The perfect time to #StartTheConversation about money. From saving and budgeting to planning for the future, financial confidence starts with open conversations. That’s why our Money Confident Communities programme is so important. It helps young people build the skills and confidence they need to take their first steps toward financial independence. Through our volunteering programme, TSB colleagues deliver workshops in schools on topics like budgeting, fraud awareness, and saving. It’s all part of our Do What Matters plan: Doing what’s right for people and supporting financial and social inclusion in the communities we serve. Let’s keep the conversation going. 💬 #TalkMoney #DoWhatMatters

The opportunity to develop professionally in the HR team at TSB has been a great learning curve and given me the confidence to immerse myself into any environment. During my internship, I had the chance to arrange TSB money confidence workshops for The Amos Bursary charity. They strive to empower students from African and Caribbean backgrounds to achieve their dreams. From my own experience as a student on the Amos Bursary Scholars Programme, I knew the students (who come from low socio-economic backgrounds) would benefit from getting a great understanding of money directly from a well-known bank. Here are my top 5 learnings from my time at TSB. I hope this inspires someone to put themselves forward for that next opportunity: 1. Don’t be scared to ask questions – everyone says this, but it’s 100% true. The expectations from lecturers and employers looks completely different, so by asking questions I was able to understand TSB’s ways of working. 2. You can’t rush quality work – Meeting deadlines can be challenging for anyone, regardless of what role they’re in. Allow yourself the time to get things right. 3. Be brave in building up a rapport with your colleagues. No matter how senior. By putting myself out there I was pleased to feel I was making myself known AND memorable. 4. Don’t underestimate the power of networking. You never know who you may encounter during your day-to-day work regime. 5. Having a laugh is so important. Being in an environment where you enjoy the community of people around you is a lot more important than I could imagine." Lamar Miller, HR Intern, TSB. #BlackHistoryMonth #ProudToBeTSB
