By 2035, farmland will be the new gold. Here’s the timeline of how we get there: 🌱 2025–2027: Price Discovery Phase * Soil data, biodiversity data, and water data finally get standardized * Institutional capital begins allocating meaningfully * Degraded land becomes investable again 🤖 2027–2030: Utility Phase * MRV automation pushes nature assets into mainstream markets * Farmland becomes central to food security, carbon integrity, and water resilience * Cities and corporates start hedging nature risk the way they hedge currency risk today 💰 2030–2035: Asset Class Phase * Farmland becomes a core portfolio holding, not an alternative * Land regeneration is no longer a “project”, it’s infrastructure * 10–20x more capital flows to land stewardship than today By the way, this shift is already happening. I’m just naming it clearly. 🌱 If you’re building in landtech, regen ag, nature data - we’d love to connect. Top Tier Impact is mapping the full ecosystem for 2026. You can apply to get included in our global members network here: https://lnkd.in/gGWW5NDa PS: never underestimate nature’s regenerative power. This image shows you an example of what’s possible in 3 years (2019-2022) and even without tree planting… Just finding tree stumps and seedlings alive in the degraded soil, then helping them grow. A project by LEAD Foundation Tanzania and Ecosia in Lugundwa, Tanzania. 👏 #regenerativeagriculture #natureeconomy #farmland #landrestoration

  • Revisiting key moments from our Nature Investments Summit in London. Last year, we convened investors, founders, and ecosystem leaders to explore how nature can become a core asset class in the transition — from biodiversity and land regeneration to nature-based infrastructure and restoration at scale. 🎥 Rewatch the opening remarks by Top Tier Impact’s Founder & CEO, Alessa Berg: https://lnkd.in/e3BEJsVn The message remains as relevant as ever: Nature is a foundation for resilient economies, investable solutions, and long-term value creation. We look forward to continuing to advance this conversation globally through our chapters, gatherings, and collaborations across the TTI network. #TopTierImpact #NatureInvesting #Regeneration #ImpactInvesting #Biodiversity #ClimateFinance #SustainableInvesting

Excited to share that I’ll be hosting a Top Tier Impact (TTI) Climate Investing Dinner next Wednesday, December 3rd, in NYC. TTI has been an incredible community to connect with people who are actually building, allocating, and deploying real climate solutions. I’ve loved the conversations happening in the network and wanted to create a space for that same energy to show up in person here in New York. The dinner will be a relaxed but meaningful gathering of founders, operators, fund managers, and ecosystem partners working across climate, circularity, and the transition. If you’re in the city and would like to join, or know someone who would add to the discussion, I’d be glad to have you.

  • A few nights ago, Top Tier Impact hosted an inspiring dinner in Dubai at 'The Flamingo Room by Tashas', bringing together change-makers transforming sustainability, health, and the circular economy. Led by our TTI Ambassador Tatiana Antonelli Abella, the evening spotlighted the power of collaborative leadership in shaping a better future. We were honored to hear from incredible women driving real impact: Lucy Chow – Investor, Author & Champion for Women of the Future Sophie Smith سوفي سميث – Founder & CEO, Nabta Health Lara Hussein لارا حسين – Co-Founder & CEO, The Waste Lab Lamis Al Hashimy – Co-Founder, Palmade Biodegradable Products Anisha Oberoi – Founder & CEO, SECRET SKIN Their insights reinforced what the TTI Network stands for: a global community where purpose-driven leaders, investors, and innovators connect to accelerate the transition economy. At TTI, members collaborate, access opportunities, and support each other in scaling solutions for a more sustainable world. If you want to be part of a community where capital meets purpose — and where action leads to meaningful change — we’d love to welcome you. 👉 Become a member: https://lnkd.in/eUk3NdZN #TopTierImpact #WomenInImpact #ImpactInvesting #Sustainability #Innovation #Leadership #TTICommunity

On the stage of Web Summit last week, we touched on a subject I never got to put into words before: the massive difference between genuine vs forced obsession in a founder’s mission. What do I mean by this difference? Creating something out of nothing is a big journey. We give life to what never existed before. The energy required to do that is huge - and you have to constantly find that somewhere, right? 🔥 That's exactly where obsession is key. When we align with a genuine obsession, the tank keeps refilling itself. That fuel is needed each day. So what happens when we find a mission to follow, a "0 to 1" to bridge, but it's not our genuine inner call? Enter forced obsession. Maybe we logically found our way to a business model, a market, a gap to fill. We thought it "makes sense" in many ways. Gradually, we realize we're not truly in it... but we still need that obsessive energy to pull it off, to create from nothing and to take everybody else on that journey. 💔 It's just much heavier to do when the obsession isn't genuine. The tank doesn't refill itself naturally. We have to constantly do that ourselves instead. I watched my previous partner pull off that journey, day by day. Years of suffering. He had lots of stamina, a market that made sense, and eventually got to a good exit. That was a lucky case, because often the forced obsession just leads to a dead end. ✊ And that's how I learned to follow my genuine obsessions in everything I build, such as Top Tier Impact. I'd love to live in a world where we all find the space, time and courage to align with an inner purpose that regenerates us, rather than depleting us over time. How much more joy would there be around us? How many fights would just be dropped?

  • At Top Tier Impact, we track the signals shaping the future of natural resources, climate action, and global markets. Here’s what stood out this month — plus Alessa Berg’s take on why each story matters: Investors push for an International Minerals Agency (Reuters) $18T in assets are calling for a global body to bring order, transparency, and oversight to the exploding minerals landscape. “Given the unprecedented growth in the global relevance of certain minerals, more basic coordination is urgent. Through our emerging markets exposure via TTI's investment advisory, we've noticed this gap in the last few years - but now, that gap screams for rapid action. While it won't be 100% on point, some coordination will be better than none.” Two simple shifts could cut synthetic fertilizer dependence (Technology Networks) Cover crops + delayed nitrogen application = more resilient soils without sacrificing yields. “In an ideal world, we'd also be moving away from the entire current paradigm in corn production - but to be realistic and already improve the status quo in the meantime, tackling this can go a long way. I see endless parallels between how we treat our soils and how we treat human health. That's a discussion for another time. 10 years after the Paris Agreement: where do we stand? (CBC News) Emissions are still rising, and many nations are behind on climate pledges — the gap between ambition and action continues to widen. “There's no surprise here, but the reason I brought it up is to remind ourselves of the need & opportunity for more effective ways to coordinate - and in a world where multilateral action becomes increasingly challenging, this also relates to bilateralism and new partnerships. Oceans on the balance sheet (WWF) WWF urges systemic reforms to value oceans properly in policy and economic decisions — a major step for nature-positive systems. “When it comes to tackling "nature" as a whole, the ocean side faces an exponential set of challenges similar to the land side. Given what happened with the UN Law of the Sea framework and the ongoing US vetoes against this, I find it important to discuss the economics behind it. Coming soon. Follow us for monthly signals, strategic analysis, and Alessa Berg’s perspectives on the future of climate, nature, and global systems. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gZ4WERbq
