Congratulations to California State University, Chico on breaking ground for their new Human Identification Laboratory, the only full-time forensic anthropology lab in California and the largest west of Texas. This state resource supports disaster response, criminal investigations and law enforcement training. The new facility, designed by SmithGroup and built by DPR Construction, will feature forensic anthropology examination spaces, secure storage, advanced labs for DNA and isotope analysis, expanded refrigeration and improved security.
