Smith Gee Studio is excited to have teamed with Land Innovations, HDLA, and Pugh Wright McAnally, Inc. to master plan South Brook in Decatur, AL. A redevelopment of a former country club property, South Brook is planned to be a traditional mixed-use community of retail, office, multi-family residential, townhomes, live/work buildings, and single-family homes. The team carefully planned a pedestrian-friendly framework of streets, blocks, and lots among a network of community open spaces and amenities to retain selected stands of mature trees that line the former golf course fairways. Exciting news out of Huntsville! The Huntsville Planning Commission has unanimously recommended approval for Westmoore Landing’s PD-H rezone — a 400-acre mixed-use community we’re developing alongside Rochford Realty. Located at the I-65 and I-565 interchange, Westmoore Landing will bring together diverse housing, retail, and gathering spaces, creating a connected, enduring community for people of all ages. 🚧 Major site work is now underway at One Westside in Chattanooga. This landmark project is bringing more mixed-income housing to the Westside community.  Phase one will deliver 230 apartment homes: 92 will replace homes for current College Hill Courts residents, and 138 will offer mixed-income housing options.
