Important Alert: There is an active job scam using the false domain of careers-onXmaps.com. Please note, onXmaps will never ask for credit card or SSN details during the initial application process. For your digital safety, apply only through our legitimate website at onXmaps.com or directly via our LinkedIn page. For adventurers seeking richer experiences in their pursuits, onX is a pioneer in outdoor navigation offering trusted tools, data, experience, and insight that enables customers to understand landscapes, explore with confidence, increase their odds of success, and better preserve the outdoor experience for all, because onX is built by passionate experts who deeply understand what drives our customers on their own adventures. onX Founder Eric Siegfried was plenty familiar with the challenges of knowing where public and private boundaries could be found. What was unfamiliar was the situation he found himself in during the 2009 season in Southwest Montana—the longtime hunting guide was lost in fading light. Eric managed to find his way back to the truck that night, but the experience lingered as he worked to combine the power of land ownership data and GPS technology to create a tool that told hunters where they could go, where they were, and how to get back home. Eric also recognized that there is no adventure without access, and onX’s DNA drives us to dedicate time, money, and human/vehicle power to clean up trailheads, rebuild trails, and open access to public land. Whether you sit, send, crawl, haul, grip, rip, or slip, onX exists to power your next adventure. Our Values: Solve What Matters Expedition Together Discover New Paths Get After It

Updates

  • Today we're especially thankful for the wild places—and the people—who make every adventure possible. This year, our onX family explored farther, dug deeper, and showed once again that the spirit of adventure thrives in all of us. From first-time hunters to seasoned pros, from off-road wanderers to quiet mornings on the water, from weekend hikers to those who call the backcountry home—your stories continue to inspire us every single day. Today, we’re especially grateful for: • Our incredible onX community and customers, who trust our tools to help them get out there and explore more confidently. • Our employees, who don’t just map the outdoors—they live it, bringing back stories from mountains, deserts, forests, lakes, and trails all across the country. As we gather around tables and campfires today, we’re reminded that adventure isn’t just about a place—it’s about the people who share it and protect it with us. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at onX!

  • 🎬 Coming Soon: Inaccessible What begins as a high-stakes ski expedition becomes a powerful exploration of access, ownership, and responsibility. This film pulls back the curtain on more than 15 million acres of public land across the American West that are legally out of reach—revealing the complex intersections of adventure, advocacy, and history. Inaccessible brings together leaders across the outdoor and conservation community—athletes like Griffin Post, Emilé Zynobia, and Eric Jackson, alongside partners including onX, Smartwool, TINCUP Whiskey, DECKED, and Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership—to spark a bigger conversation: How do we protect access for everyone, forever? Join us at the world premiere in Boulder, CO on December 9th, featuring a live panel discussion with filmmakers, athletes, and public land advocates. Let’s come together as an industry to celebrate what unites us—the right to explore, and the responsibility to ensure that right endures. Can't make it to Boulder? The full film will drop online on December 10th. 🔗 Learn more and get your ticket 👉 https://bit.ly/4hVXVBL

  • Veterans Day reminds us that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. At onX, we’ve seen how time outside can provide healing, connection, and purpose—especially for veterans. One story that captures this perfectly is that of Brian Flynn, a U.S. Army veteran who used onX to explore the Bitterroot Mountains and rediscover his passion for service. That journey led him to found the Two Wolf Foundation, where he now helps other veterans reconnect through adventure and stewardship. Supporting this kind of work—through our Adventure Forever Grant program and year-round partnerships—is one way we live out our values of access, stewardship, and community. To all who’ve served: thank you, today and every day. 🎥 See Brian’s story here → https://bit.ly/4oNOBlL

  • Last week at Outdoor Media Summit, our CEO Laura Orvidas shared a keynote on the power of a united outdoor community — and what we can achieve together when we stand up for our public lands. We were honored to be recognized with the Best Brand Campaign Award, celebrating our work to make public land policy more accessible and to rally outdoor enthusiasts across all user groups against this year’s land disposal threats. Yet, advocacy work isn’t a one-off campaign. It takes persistence, collaboration, and a shared belief that these places are worth protecting. But by shining a light on the success of this campaign, we hope to inspire others to join in and speak up for our public lands. A huge thank you to everyone in the outdoor community who stood with us. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and excited to keep this momentum going.

  • In Old Fort, North Carolina, G5 Trail Collective and a group of dedicated community members are building some of the best trails on the east coast. In the shadow of Mt. Mitchell, the tallest peak in the east, outdoor recreation is a driving force in rebuilding the businesses of this gateway town. One year after Hurricane Helene devastated the area, the community continues to rally, rebuild, and work toward the best version of Old Fort yet. We’re honored to support this work through the onX Adventure Forever Grant program, alongside Toyota North America, G5 Trail Collective and Outdoor Recreation Roundtable. Head to the link to watch the short film. https://bit.ly/3WjGMrK #onXtrailrevivalproject #adventureforever

  • In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the community of Old Fort, North Carolina is rebuilding their economy by rebuilding the area’s trails. This town has discovered the impact that trails, and the adventurers they draw, can have on local coffee shops, cafes, and breweries. Helene took a chunk out of that momentum, but on the backs of folks like the G5 Trail Collective, they’re coming back and are open for business. Around 50 volunteers came out on Saturday, September 20 to help build retaining walls, improve trail tread, and build sustainable infrastructure. It was a huge team effort from our customers and partners Toyota USA, The G5 Trail Collective and Outdoor Recreation Roundtable. Stay tuned for the film, dropping tomorrow!
