“It was hard. There was nobody there for him. InnovAge has taken such a load off of me,” says caregiver Bernadette Chavez of the difference InnovAge made after her husband Bill, now a participant in our Pueblo center in Colorado, was recovering from surgery. Andrew Smith, who supports his father in Denver, has also seen the impact of having InnovAge PACE in his family’s corner: “It’s challenging … but within a week of researching, we found a place that truly cared for him -- and gave me resources and someone to call when I needed help. It was the best place for us.” Two recent TV profiles focus on the strong partnership between InnovAge and caregivers in support of senior family members who wish to remain independent, in their own homes. On FOX31’s Great Day Colorado, In-Home Services Manager Carin Risinger shares how PACE helps older adults live safely at home -- while easing the mental and emotional load for caregivers: “We’re able to take a lot of that off of them and provide that extra layer of support,” she says. “It gives families peace of mind, too.” This level of support has been vital to the community for many years. InnovAge is celebrating 35 years of providing PACE services, while InnovAge Colorado PACE’s Northern Colorado center is also celebrating this year -- marking 10 years of serving seniors and families in Loveland, Greeley, and surrounding areas. Watch the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/erQWGaJt On KXRM FOX21’s Loving Living Local, the spotlight was on the challenges caregivers face in Pueblo. Families are juggling work, finances, and caring for an aging loved one. It can be overwhelming. But with medical care, social services, transportation, medication management, and a daytime center for participants, InnovAge PACE is the comprehensive resource that supports the whole person as well as the whole family. As Social Services Supervisor Allana Miller explains: “PACE is an all-inclusive program designed to keep seniors in their home. Caregivers feel reassured and supported, and it can really prevent burnout.” See the full segment here: https://lnkd.in/e2tRw5uB #CaregiverSupport #SeniorCare #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth

“Home for the holidays.” It takes on special meaning for seniors who wish to remain independent in their own homes, but need a little extra help for life’s daily needs. InnovAge PACE understands the importance of “home,” and it is our mission is to keep people in their homes for as long as possible. This is why we work closely with seniors and caregivers to customize an in-home program that addresses the challenges of aging, and extend our comprehensive care beyond the centers where participants visit for a range of services. In the home, our caring, professional team does home assessments to make sure living environments are safe. Depending on your needs and care plan, we do housekeeping, meal preps, monitor your health, assist with medications, and a variety of other daily living activities that may be difficult for you or your loved one to do alone. In-home assistance is just one of the many unique aspects of PACE – the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly – which takes a truly comprehensive approach to senior healthcare. Medicare and Medicaid coverage pays for needed home visits and assistance, meaning there's never a cost, while other insurance plans typically charge co-pays and more. During this time of Open Enrollment (through Dec 7th), consider InnovAge PACE (InnovAge LIFE in Pennsylvania). We do all we can to help our participants enjoy the comfort and familiarity of home -- during the holidays, and all year long. Oh and by the way, we enroll year-round 😊 Interested in seeing if PACE might be right for you or someone you care for? "Thank you for making one of my bucket list dreams come true," said one participant who got to witness hawks, owls, and other elusive birds up close at our InnovAge Colorado PACE Lakewood center. In Philadelphia, our seniors visited the Clay Studio to experience beautiful pottery and try their hand at creating it. At Thornton, seniors were the ones creating the art—and they're amazing at it! Check out the stunning hat artwork combining different textiles and techniques. This is what our staff, and in particular, our recreational therapy teams do. They don't just plan activities—they create moments of joy, discovery, and connection. Recreational therapy is vital to physical health, mental wellbeing, and quality of life. It's not an add-on. It's essential care. We're incredibly proud of all of our care team members who bring these experiences to life every day. As our Lakewood Center Director Kelly Swanson shared at a recent open house: InnovAge PACE isn't just healthcare. It's a community where seniors thrive, stay active, pursue their passions, and live life on their terms. #InnovAge #PACEProgram #RecreationalTherapy #SeniorCare #QualityOfLife #AgingWithJoy #CommunityMatters #ThrivingTogether

If you're helping an aging parent navigate their healthcare options -- or you're exploring them yourself -- this time of year can feel overwhelming. Between October 15 and December 7, many seniors are looking at their Medicare plans and wondering if there's something better for them out there. If you're 55+ and finding that traditional insurance doesn't quite cover everything you need to stay independent at home, PACE might be worth learning about. PACE stands for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, and it takes a different approach to senior healthcare. Here's what that actually looks like: - Everything coordinated through your PACE center: Your primary care doctor, dentist, exercise classes, social activities, and meals are all available at the center -- no referrals needed, no extra charges. - Simpler costs: No premiums, co-pays, or deductibles for covered services. Emergency care, hospital stays, rehab, and therapy are included. - Support that comes to you: Reliable transportation to appointments. Prescriptions and medical supplies delivered home. In-home help with medications, light housekeeping, and meal prep when you need it. - A team approach: An 11-person care team -- doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers -- who actually talk to each other about your care. PACE works with Medicare and Medicaid to make this level of coordinated care possible. It's designed for people who want to stay in their own homes but need more support than traditional insurance typically provides. Want to see if PACE might be right for you or someone you care for? Call 855-993-6643 to talk with an InnovAge specialist, or visit InnovAgePACE.com to learn more. (And remember—while many people explore PACE during Open Enrollment, we're here year-round.) #OpenEnrollment #PACE #SeniorCare

WOW! Creativity and Culture to the NINEs! The InnovAge San Bernardino center OUTDID themselves with their huge Halloween celebration. Anyone taking notes? And our Pueblo center put on a wildly colorful and deeply meaningful event. Dia de los Muertos or “The Day of the Dead” is a Mexican holiday celebrated November 1-2 where families honor deceased loved ones with altars, marigolds, and favorite foods in a festive atmosphere. The celebration includes both remembering the dead and sharing gifts like sugar skulls and Pan de Muerto with living friends and family. And to our Richmond team - Snow White and her dwarves stole the show! Thank you to ALL of our teams for their incredible creativity and commitment to making InnovAge a fun place to be! #CrushedIt #Halloween #DiaelosMuertos #Culture #Creativity #InnovAge PACE

What an incredible day celebrating with our Tampa Bay community! Our Grand Re-Opening of InnovAge Florida PACE–Tampa was more than an event—it was a powerful reminder of what's possible when we come together for our seniors. Neighbors, partners, and friends joined us to honor our veterans on Veterans Day and recognize the caregivers who give so much during National Family Caregivers Month. Howe, one of our participants and a veteran, stole the show, sharing his personal story of how InnovAge PACE and Tampa General Hospital have transformed his life and care. His words reminded us all why this work matters so much. A heartfelt thank you to Tampa General Hospital for being such an amazing partner in this mission. Together, we're making it possible for more seniors across Hillsborough, Pasco, and Hernando counties to live independently at home with the comprehensive care and support they deserve. We're so grateful to Florida Governor Jeb Bush, State Representatives Diane Hart and Karen Gonzalez-Pittman, Luis Laracuente from U.S. Senator Rick Scott's office, and Matt Hudson from the Florida PACE Providers Association for joining us and championing this vital work for our seniors. Thank you to the incredible Cienna Wesley, BS, MPH for sharing your beautiful voice and uplifting spirit with us—your patriotic performances touched every heart in the room. And to Feeding Tampa Bay, The Salvation Army Tampa, and Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc.—your work inspires us every day. We're honored to support you. To everyone who joined us, performed, spoke, and celebrated—thank you for being part of our village. This is what community looks like. #SeniorCare #TampaBay #VeteransDay #CaregiverAppreciation #PACE #CommunityFirst

“This is the model. This is what it should look like,” said Colorado State Representative Jacque Phillips while touring the InnvoAge Colorado PACE center in Thornton. As budgets tighten and senior support programs face growing pressure, more lawmakers are seeing PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly as a solution that continues to stand out. “Our goal is to keep participants at home, safe, and independent,” said Linda Whyte, Area Center Director for InnovAge PACE in Thornton. On FOX31’s Great Day Colorado, she spoke about the increasing number of lawmakers touring her center and coming away impressed and inspired. “By providing preventive care, after-hours nursing, transportation, and social support — all under one roof — we’re reducing ER visits, hospitalizations, and caregiver stress.” “You have to come and see (InnovAge PACE) for yourself,” said Colorado State Representative Michael Carter, on a tour of InnovAge’s Aurora center. “When we talk about budgets and numbers, what we really need to focus on are services — the government’s ability to care for its citizens. We need to talk about the services that you guys are providing.” “I want this to be available to everybody. Just in my neighborhood, we have a lot of health care concerns,” said Phillips. “Really going through this place today, I thought this is the model. This is what it should look like.” Watch the full Great Day Colorado segment here: https://lnkd.in/g4j-5u3r #InnovAgePACE #ColoradoSeniors #SeniorCare #TalktoLocalLawmakers
