The year is slowly coming to an end, and it’s usually the time when you look back on it retrospectively. I think, as for any tech-related specialist, there will always be two priorities that keep you interested and motivated - what you can learn and what you can accomplish. Since I have been doing development for over a decade, it’s very important to be proud of what you are building. And one thing I’ve learned over 10+ years: the right environment multiplies your impact. Knot has a very unique engineering culture - small teams, huge ownership, lots of trust, and no bureaucratic nonsense. You get to build real products, solve deep technical challenges, and make decisions that actually move the business. It’s been a little more than a year since I joined Knot, and I have a great list to share of what I am proud of: 1. Architected and implemented the entire client-side of Transaction Link - literally in my first weeks at Knot. Grateful for the trust and ownership from day one. 2. Implemented header-based API versioning to support cleaner evolution of our platform. 3. Built a complete Docker-based local infrastructure from scratch and documented the entire workflow. 4. Configured a full CI/CD pipeline for our Kubernetes environment using Cloud Build. 5. Helped dramatically increase our test coverage and overall testing discipline as a team. 6. Set up scalable Grafana K6 stress testing across multiple products to measure and improve performance. 7. Led a seamless migration to a new billing system with zero customer disruption - included development of Go Microservice with Event/Listener integration 8. Migrated a high-load Laravel queue (300k+ jobs per hour) to Horizon -smoothly, with no downtime. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow fast, apply your experience, build meaningful systems, and work with people who genuinely care about craft - JOIN KNOT NOW :). We’re actively growing engineering teams, and I’d love to work with more engineers who want to build the future of financial connectivity. Let's go!
