The year is slowly coming to an end, and it’s usually the time when you look back on it retrospectively. I think, as for any tech-related specialist, there will always be two priorities that keep you interested and motivated - what you can learn and what you can accomplish. Since I have been doing development for over a decade, it’s very important to be proud of what you are building. And one thing I’ve learned over 10+ years: the right environment multiplies your impact. Knot has a very unique engineering culture - small teams, huge ownership, lots of trust, and no bureaucratic nonsense. You get to build real products, solve deep technical challenges, and make decisions that actually move the business. It’s been a little more than a year since I joined Knot, and I have a great list to share of what I am proud of: 1. Architected and implemented the entire client-side of Transaction Link - literally in my first weeks at Knot. Grateful for the trust and ownership from day one. 2. Implemented header-based API versioning to support cleaner evolution of our platform. 3. Built a complete Docker-based local infrastructure from scratch and documented the entire workflow. 4. Configured a full CI/CD pipeline for our Kubernetes environment using Cloud Build. 5. Helped dramatically increase our test coverage and overall testing discipline as a team. 6. Set up scalable Grafana K6 stress testing across multiple products to measure and improve performance. 7. Led a seamless migration to a new billing system with zero customer disruption - included development of Go Microservice with Event/Listener integration 8. Migrated a high-load Laravel queue (300k+ jobs per hour) to Horizon -smoothly, with no downtime. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow fast, apply your experience, build meaningful systems, and work with people who genuinely care about craft - JOIN KNOT NOW :). We’re actively growing engineering teams, and I’d love to work with more engineers who want to build the future of financial connectivity. Let's go!

Co-Founded Aero Delivery Systems | Lead iOS & Android Developer at theFuteur | React Native | MS in Computer Science | Passionate About AI & Mobile Innovation

Incredibly proud of what our team accomplished at HackPrinceton by winning one of the tracks. This was the biggest hackathon I've attended, bringing together innovators, mentors, and sponsors from across the tech ecosystem. Our team tackled a real challenge facing restaurant owners: turning fragmented delivery data from platforms like DoorDash and UberEat into actionable business insights. We built a platform that helps restaurant owners figure out the best spots to open new locations. Our tool analyzes real delivery patterns in any area, like what people are actually ordering, how much they're spending, and what cuisines are popular. But here's the interesting part: we also identify gaps in the market where there's clear customer demand but no nearby restaurants serving that type of food. So instead of opening another pizza place on a street that already has five, owners can see untapped opportunities. Maybe there's a neighborhood craving Thai food with nowhere to order from, or an area where people consistently pay premium prices for healthy options but have limited choices. The platform takes location data and turns it into actionable insights about what people want, what's missing, and where the opportunity is. The Technical Stack: Working with Knot transaction data API, we engineered a system that aggregates delivery platform data in real-time. Users can input any location and instantly access local demand patterns, trending dishes, competitive pricing, and customer spending behaviors. We integrated Dedalus Labs webscraping capabilities to gather comprehensive market data, then built custom algorithms to process and visualize this information through an intuitive dashboard. Beyond the Code: The weekend was filled with invaluable technical discussions with sponsors like Knot, Dedalus Labs, OpenAI, Finance YCombinator. These weren't just application demo, they were deep dives into real world data challenges, scalability considerations, and production ready architecture decisions. Every conversation shaped our engineering approach. The stakes at HackPrinceton were real too. Opportunities like guaranteed Y Combinator interviews and internship offers show how these events can launch careers and startups. It feels great that we won one of the tracks in such a competitive hackathon Huge thanks to the team it was great working with you guys - Henry Nguyen Rudy Gonzalez and Vighanesh Gaund. This win was not possible without you guys. Also it was nice seeing familiar faces again and having conversations with Andrew S. Gordon, LSW, Kieran O'Reilly. Huge shoutout to Noah Brown for jumping in during those late night debugging sessions when we were wrestling with the Knot API integration. Had an amazing time judging and mentoring at HackPrinceton Fall 2025! Watching students go from ideas to working products in just 36 hours was wild. The scale was impressive: 600 students, 200 teams, and 50+ projects using Knot’s TransactionLink. Since I built the client-facing part of TransactionLink, seeing so many teams actually use it and build cool stuff on top was really rewarding. Big thanks to our mentor team: Kieran O'Reilly stayed up until 3-4am both nights helping teams with everything from ideas to code. Enea K. kept students on track with tech and made sure they learned along the way. Noah Brown helped teams define their product vision and even jumped in to debug. And I spent my time judging amazing projects, helping shape the ideas, explaining how our API works, and helping teams figure out how to use it in their projects. Knot API Track Winners: 🥇 EdgeCart – a predictive waste intelligence system for grocery stores, combining computer vision, purchase history (via Knot API), and personalized customer notifications. 🥈 PiggyBank – “money that talks”, a real-time spending coach powered by a feedback loop that connects your transactions to a conversational agent. 🥉 Better – a mobile app and website that encourages users to accomplish their goals by allowing users to place financial stakes on the goals they want to complete. Every team brought creativity and serious technical skills. It's exciting to see what these builders can do – can't wait for the next one.

CEO and Co-Founder at Knot [Hiring!]

Three years ago, we had a good idea. Two years ago, we had a great product. This year, almost all of the largest fintechs became Knot customers. 2025 has been the year Knot became inevitable. 🏗️ Partners are expanding across products 🏃♂️ New ones are moving fast to launch 📈 Growth has been exponential, and the momentum keeps building. None of it would be possible without the team behind it, now more than 40 people strong, with 75% focused on engineering. As we continue to grow, we’re hiring across engineering, product, and GTM/Sales. If you want to solve hard problems and build products already accessible by hundreds of millions of Americans, come join us at Knot. This is the year Knot became undeniable, but 2026 will be even bigger.

Just a few days out from heading to Vegas for Money20/20 I’ll be meeting with banks, fintechs, and partners who are redefining how their customers connect with merchants. From updating cards on file to unlocking SKU-level data and enabling institutions to agentically buy on behalf of their customers, Knot keeps financial institutions at the center of their customers’ digital lives. If you’re around, let’s catch up over coffee, between sessions, or at the blackjack table!

Knot is launching something very new. Ask any question about your SKU-level transactions. We’re talking "receipts." This new feature is built on the backbone of our merchant connectivity platform. Come build with us! Imagine asking: "What is my average spend on food delivery?" "What’s my total spend on streaming subscriptions this year?" "What’s the average markup I’m paying on in-store vs. delivery?" "How much did I spend for Valentine's day?"
