What it’s actually like to work with a BlueBox intern - from a founder’s perspective. Here’s how Vijay Krishnan, Founder of RenewVerse, found real leverage and success this summer with his BlueBox Chief of Staff intern 👇 As the founder of RenewVerse, I brought on a Chief of Staff intern through BlueBox - an MBA from Cornell Tech with a background in consulting, climate tech, and early-stage ops. They didn’t just shadow. They became an indispensable part of the team. Here’s what they helped drive: 🧭 Competitive Intelligence & Market Mapping They built a living landscape of 100+ companies across sustainable chemistry and biotech — segmented by product type, IP moat, funding stage, and GTM strategy. This became core to how we now position ourselves in product strategy and investor conversations. 📊 Customer & Investor Pipeline Buildout They helped qualify and organize 80+ leads, designing a CRM flow aligned with our BD priorities and fundraising roadmap. We’re seeing faster turnaround and better insights as a result. 📂 Internal Systems & Fundraising Ops From rebuilding our internal Notion dashboards to assembling materials for our $2M seed round (teasers, one-pagers, FAQs), they put in place scalable systems that saved the team countless hours. ⚡ Founder Leverage They handled briefing docs before key calls, researched grant programs, and ran weekly ops — giving me back time to focus on product and strategy. This is what BlueBox enables: not just interns, but true leverage for founders — and meaningful, career-defining experience for the next generation of operators. We’re continuing with BlueBox this fall to expand our R&D, GTM, and ops teams — and I genuinely can’t recommend it enough to other early-stage teams. #founders #interns #hiring #MBAs

Just got this text from my VC friends at SOSV after they posted an MBA role on BlueBox. We love to see it. If you're a founder or VC, now’s the time to start thinking about in-semester MBA interns for the fall. BlueBox isn’t just another job board - it’s a curated network where exceptional students, founders, and investors connect for: → In-semester & summer roles → Full-time hires → Chief of Staff & VC associate positions → Warm intros and trusted alumni networks → Actually helpful connections across schools and firms We’ve just onboarded MBA communities from Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Wharton, MIT, Kellogg, Booth, NYU, Berkeley, and more. Students who have backgrounds in consulting, investment banking, operating roles, as founders, etc. 💥 The Draper ecosystem will be posting in-semester startup and VC internships by end of August / beginning of September. If you’re hiring, building, or just want to meet sharp, generous people — join us at BlueBox (link in comments).

From diligencing aerospace to neurotech deals to mapping 18,000+ investor relationships, our BlueBox interns helped supercharge Draper Associates this summer. Through BlueBox, we brought on standout interns from Columbia, Wharton, Harvard, Cornell, Berkeley, and more - with backgrounds in consulting, banking, operations, and multiple branches of engineering. Not only did they observe and learn, they shipped real work we’ll actively continue to use. Here’s just a glimpse of what they built: 🌐 Angela Yao (Wharton MBA) With a background in both systems engineering and investment banking, Angela mapped over 18,000 investor, advisor, and commercial relationships into a dynamic, searchable ecosystem. Her work now powers how we track strategic fits, surface co-investors, and make high-leverage intros — by sector, stage, and beyond. 🛰️ Thiago Gogola (Berkeley MBA) A previous Manager at Bain, aeronautical engineer, and hardware founder, Thiago co-authored rubrics and standardized memo templates for Robotics and Aerospace, led our Unconventional Big Bets market mapping, and built a Draper-focused GPT tool to power deeper, faster competitive landscaping. 🤖 Bruke Kifle (Harvard MBA) A former McKinsey consultant and AI engineer focused on GenAI, responsible AI, and search, Bruke rebuilt our AI Investment Rubric and memo template, launched internal GPTs to enhance diligence, created an AI Pitch Coach for founders (coming soon), and helped us build better AI for founder comms, meeting notes, and dealflow ops. 🛫 Amy Wang (Columbia MBA) Ex–JetBlue Ventures. Amy led diligence projects and renewed our rubrics and memo templates for Crypto and Aerospace. She also co-developed our new Draper founder platform — a one-stop resource hub with strategic access to investors, advisors, commercial partners, and other info an early stage founder might need. 🧠 Yasmeen Hmaidan (Neurotech MSc) A former MIT neurotech researcher and MSc in neurotech, Yasmeen created our Neurotech/BCI Investment Playbook, co-led our updated Healthcare & Biotech Rubric & Memo Template, and contributed to our Unconventional Bets thesis. 🛡️ Rishabh Surendran (Cornell MBA) A previous Goldman Sachs Data Engineer, and with experience in deep tech policy, Rishabh co-developed rubrics for Aerospace, Defense/Dual-Use, and Robotics, revamped our Notion workflows, and built out structured documentation for firm-wide best practices. In total: ✅ 30+ completed projects ✅ Refreshed investment rubrics and memo templates across 5+ verticals ✅ Internal tools, AI systems, and frameworks that will compound for years This is why we built BlueBox. We're now onboarding MBA stduents for fall as VCs and founders gear up to hire top MBA interns. If you're hiring, posting roles, or want access to this kind of high-trust, high-talent network — come join us at BlueBox (link in comments). #VC #startups #venturecapital #BlueBox #MBA #internships #M7
