Ultrafine Bubbles are having their moment. Since their discovery in oceans and lakes in the '80s our understanding of ultrafine bubbles (sometimes called nanobubbles) has grown. As technology for imaging them has advanced, so has our understanding of their uses and how to make them. Peer reviewed publications into their applications are growing exponentially. At Hydrosome Labs LLC, we are proud to be leading the charge for their use in fermentation and consumer products like skin care creams and beverages. Interested in lowering your fermentation costs or improving the performance of your consumer products? Let us show you how we can help. #ultrafinebubbles #nanobubbles #fermentation #precisionfermentation #hydration #functionalbeverages #skincare

Making life better by improving the power of water
About us
Hydrosome Labs is a Chicago-based B-to-B biotechnology company on a mission to change lives by changing water. Our technology, Hydrosome H2O, is a natural and chemical-free process that improves the power of water through the emerging science of ultrafine bubbles. The innovative process delivers active ingredients to cells more efficiently and completely with multiple applications across personal care and cosmetics, beverages, precision fermentation, and controlled environment agriculture. Uses range from helping plants grow faster and healthier with less fertilizer, improving nutrient uptake in skin care, delivering faster, longer lasting, and improved hydration in performance drinks and better yields for precision fermentation. Hydrosome H2O also allows manufacturers to do more with less, use fewer chemicals, reduce environmental impact, and shorten supply chains. The company and advisors include business and R&D execs from Fortune 500 companies like P&G, Goldman Sachs, and Nestle Health Sciences, as well as the Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the New York Stock Exchange. The Gut Health trend extends to Pets. Exciting new launch from Prefera Petfood with a snack promoting gut health for dogs. As this industry grows, there are numerous opportunities for ultrafine bubbles to help it expand. In this case, UFBs can lower the cost of the protein production (made by fermentation), and as our pre-clinical testing has shown, UFBs have the potential to positively impact the gut microbiome. Exciting times ahead! #ultrafinebubbles #nanobubbles #gutmicrobiome #petfood Mars https://lnkd.in/ewVJfJ6G

At Hydrosome labs, we are in the business of making ultrafine bubbles to improve mass transfer – moving nutrients and gasses to cells more effectively. One thing that sets our technology apart is the ability to create specific concentrations of bubbles tailored to the application. From increasing the speed and yield of fermentations to improving skin care products by delivering more active ingredients deeper into the skin, our technology is disrupting industries. While ultrafine bubbles are invisible to the naked eye, they do scatter light. A simple laser beam reveals the increasing concentration of bubbles in each sample. #ultrafinebubbles #nanobubbles #hydrosomelabs #fermentation #precisionfermentation

Our Chief Science Officer Nick Jackowetz, PhD will be speaking at the upcoming RAFT16 conference November 9-12 about how ultrafine bubbles can be used to significantly improve fermentation economics by increasing yields and reducing fermentation time. The technology easily retrofits into existing infrastructure, avoiding costly capital expenses to add capacity. #Fermentation #Bioprocessing #RAFT16 #Sustainability #Biotechnology #UltrafineBubbles #Nanobubbles #HydrosomeLabs

Great perspective on a growing industry that we are helping to grow even faster. #ultrafinebubbles #precisionfermentation
An excellent explanation from the scientists at Cargill on fermentation and its many applications. More and more products are being made this way, as companies and scientists unlock the potential of nature’s small factories. With the precision fermentation industry projected to grow by +40% per year over the next several years, our technology is poised to help companies keep up with the growing demand by significantly increasing the output of existing fermentation infrastructure. https://lnkd.in/eHeUdpD3

This month in Ultrafine Bubbles: Recent testing adds further confidence to the safety of ultrafine bubbles for human consumption. Japanese researchers conducted a comprehensive safety evaluation of water containing air filled UFBs that was measured, transported, and stored according to ISO standards. They used internationally recognized OECD testing protocols to assess safety across three exposure routes: 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 – No irritation observed 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 – No irritation or damage observed 28-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 – No toxicity detected This study adds to the growing body of evidence supporting the safe and effective use of UFBs in consumer products for delivery of beneficial compounds. #ultrafinebubbles #nanobubbles
