  • 🌈 Pride Month is a celebration — and a reminder. Healthcare should be a place of healing for everyone. And yet, for so many in the LGBTQ+ community, it can still be a source of anxiety, judgment, or exclusion. At Hello Alpha, we know: 🩺 the harm of being dismissed or misgendered, ✨ and the healing power of care that sees the whole person. 🏳️🌈 No one should wonder whether their identity will be respected when seeking care. It’s our job—and privilege—to make sure every patient feels safe, seen, and valued. At Hello Alpha, we provide compassionate and inclusive patient centered care - every single day. This Pride, let’s recommit to real, inclusive change. Not just in June. Every day. • As Women's Health Month comes to a close, we're reminded that our commitment to closing the gender health gap never stops. • The $8.5 Billion "Pink Tax" on Women's Health Nobody's Talking About Did you know women pay 30% more for prescription medications than men do? That's not a typo – women spent a staggering $8.5 BILLION more on prescriptions than men did in 2024 alone. As a company founded to make healthcare more accessible for women, these numbers don't just concern us – they infuriate us. Most alarming? The disparity hits hardest during women's prime career-building years (18-44), when women spend up to 64% more on medications than men. Our CEO Gloria Lau just published a deep dive into this billion-dollar gender gap, exploring: ⚠️ Why women ages 18-44 face the steepest "health tax" 👩⚕️ The factors driving this massive disparity ❇️ How employers and others can play a pivotal role in fixing this inequality 💊 What we at Hello Alpha are doing to level the playing field This isn't just a women's issue – it's injustice affecting half the workforce. When we make women pay more for basic health needs, we're placing an invisible tax on their financial future. Read, like, comment and share this article to help break the silence on this issue. Because healthcare affordability shouldn't depend on gender. https://lnkd.in/daQ5vD5g #PinkTax #HealthEquity #WomensHealth #GenderGap
