Let's get technical: we want to tell you about Glide's SheetSync technology. SheetSync ensures that any change made to your data—whether from within the spreadsheet or from the app—updates everywhere in real-time, ensuring teams always have access to the latest data. Changing a value in your spreadsheet will instantly update all dependent calculations in every connected app, without the need to refresh the screen. Bi-directional syncing, where data updates in two locations—especially when multiple users are actively changing the data on either side—is a complex problem solved in Glide. SheetSync enables multiplayer writes to sources like Excel and Airtable by queueing changes on a 'mirror' of that data source. Another subtle but critical advantage of SheetSync is the ability to rename or move columns around in a spreadsheet without impacting the app. SheetSync keeps track of the metadata associated with columns to keep apps from being disrupted when spreadsheets are changed. Turning your spreadsheets into apps is a simple idea, with a lot of complex, technical considerations. Considerations we have laboured over for years to make it as easy as possible for you to convert your spreadsheets into software. With Glide, your spreadsheets are as important as they ever were. We don't eliminate them, we augment them.

I'm Stephen Johnson, Co-CEO of Incredible AI, a Glide Solution Partner (one of only three globally) building AI-powered business solutions. Taking over Glide's LinkedIn today to say hi! Before no-code: Previously, I was an Account Exec at AirDev, the world's leading Bubble agency, where I worked with companies ranging from Fortune 500 to Y Combinator startups. I stumbled into no-code tools in 2020, where I built my first product, Chive (a platform for charities in New Zealand). It's still running and has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations. That experience taught me the importance of understanding real business problems before jumping to solutions. A project we're excited about: We're helping a pool installation company transform their sales process with a field management tool. The app allows field agents to take their clients through the end-to-end sales process, generating quotes in real-time, managing clients via CRM, and even generating AI-powered mock-ups of what the pool will look like. Why we build in Glide: Glide's focus on internal tools sets it apart. There really is nothing like it on the market for helping companies build products that make their day-to-day easier. Most companies are already using a suite of existing tools, and Glide seamlessly connects into those, allowing us to build software that works alongside their existing stack as opposed to replacing it. Glide's focus on AI is really a game-changer as well. Giving our clients out-of-the-box AI features that would otherwise be complicated and time-consuming. My advice on AI: We think a lot about the Pareto Principle here at Incredible (20% of your work is responsible for 80% of your outcomes). You should focus AI on the 80% of work responsible for the 20% of your outcomes (the boring day-to-day things that take up your time and aren't necessarily high value). Think: a sales rep spending 45 minutes on quote generation when they could spend 2 minutes. These things have to happen, but aren't of the highest value. That's where AI is best right now. Our ideal clients: We work with businesses struggling with disconnected systems and information silos. Some of these problems include: field management challenges, inefficient sales and quoting processes, disconnected CRM systems, fragmented financial management and reporting, and supply chain management and inventory management issues. We primarily work with medium-sized companies that are spread across a number of tools, suffering from information silos (Excel spreadsheets with disconnected data), and tools that don't talk to each other. We work mostly with clients in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. Fun fact: I lived in Ethiopia for a short period, and still believe their coffee is the best on earth! Ethiopia has some of the best runners in the world, and since being there, I've been an active runner and was lucky enough to run the New York Marathon last year! Let's connect!

Two tips from Jack for operationalizing AI in the workplace: 1. Small victories: focus on the tiny 1% improvements first. 2. Your AI roadmap: move forward step by step, and develop a roadmap. Jack covers these tips in broader detail in a blog post he wrote called "How to deploy AI effectively in the workplace." Head over to the blog today to read it. It's the featured article.

One of the perks of working here: Glideaway 🕶️ Every year, the entire Glide team comes together for a week of in-person hackathons, discussions about the future, and team-building activities. As a remote-first company, the annual Glideaway is such an amazing way to break through the Zoom barrier and connect deeply with teammates. This year, we all got together in Mexico at an all-inclusive resort. Here's a quick look at Glideaway Cabo 2025. Want to work with us? Check out our Jobs page—link in the comments.

I spent last week in Lisbon at Web Summit, and it was… a lot. 70k people, countless booths, endless pitches, and the usual problem: you leave with a massive spreadsheet and zero desire to ever look at it again, like my LinkedIn messages are not enough 😅 So, during the weekend before the conf, I vibecoded a small app for myself: Startup Radar. I dumped a spreadsheet containing 2k+ Web Summit startups into it and turned it into a new tool I wanted to try for a while: - a clean directory with sane filters, - decent company profiles (market, stage, team size, links, etc), - AI-generated summaries, risks, markets, etc., a dashboard, - and an AI-powered “research more” button for companies worth a second look. All of this took <20 minutes - check out a screenshot below. The tool is called Glide (glideapps.com), and if you ask me, it’s a really sick one. Apparently, this isn’t even what Glide is “supposed” to be used for - it can handle operations, internal tools, project flows, whatever you throw at it. If this resonates and you’re also leaving conferences with spreadsheets you’re avoiding… this kind of setup might save you from abandoning it forever. I got you guys a special link to be able to try it out now with max functionality - in the first comment, as usual!
