The 2025 Climate Tech Conference, hosted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government in South Korea, brought together global leaders at the intersection of innovation, policy, and sustainability to confront one defining challenge: how to scale solutions fast enough to meet the pace of climate change. At this year’s event, Capture6 CEO Ethan Cohen-Cole was honored to deliver a keynote address exploring that very question, and how technology, economics, and existing infrastructure must work together to drive transformation. Even when politics slows or resources tighten, technology keeps moving- but the pace of environmental change is accelerating faster than any innovation cycle in history. To reach the 22nd century in one piece, we must match that speed and scale solutions faster than ever before. Ethan shared that history’s great transformations didn’t come from starting over, but from connecting new ideas to existing strengths. At Capture6, we’re advancing this integration model by embedding breakthrough carbon removal technology within one of humanity’s oldest and most essential infrastructures — the water sector. Our approach turns industrial processes into powerful climate solutions. We are designed to create value, reduce emissions and restore balance to our most critical shared resource. A heartfelt thank you to Governor Kim Dong-yeon and the Gyeonggi Provincial Government for hosting such an impactful gathering, and for the opportunity to share the stage with climate leaders including Hawaii State Senator Chris Lee and Andrew Chang, CEO of New Energy Nexus. A special thank you to Max Han of Sopoong Ventures and Roy Tobert of Third Derivative for their support. #Water #Climate #Technology #Innovation #Korea

Through Elemental Impact’s Development-SAFE (D-SAFE) — an innovative and flexible financing tool — Capture6 was able to unlock critical capital to launch Project Monarch, our first-of-its-kind facility in Palmdale, California that produces fresh water 𝘢𝘯𝘥 removes carbon simultaneously. Project Monarch is bringing real impact to the Palmdale community. "Since Palmdale Water District is mandated to serve ratepayers and not earn profit, the 20-40% cost savings provided by Capture6’s process flows directly through to Palmdale Water District’s bottom line and supports their ability to lower ratepayers bills. This means that water bills can go down in Palmdale by virtue of using our technology." - Capture6 CEO Ethan Cohen-Cole We're proud to be partnered with the best at Elemental Impact #ClimateTech #Infrastructure #Water #Innovation
🎤 Only have a few minutes but want to understand how catalytic funding can unlock climate infrastructure? We sat down with Ethan Cohen-Cole, CEO & Co-Founder of Capture6, to talk about how Elemental’s D-SAFE investment helped launch their first-of-its-kind facility in Palmdale, California. "Our pilots in Western Australia and Southern California are the initial phases of large-scale projects aimed at driving significant returns by integrating our technology into essential water treatment and green-transition infrastructure." - Ethan Cohen-Cole Over NYCW, Capture6 CEO Ethan Cohen-Cole joined a conversation with Elemental Impact on catalytic capital around first-of-a-kind (FOAK) facilities. He shared the stories of Project Monarch and Project Wallaby—real examples of how capital deployed strategically can overcome common scaling roadblocks for FOAK projects. Projects at early stages often face a catch-22: they need capital to scale, but can’t actually scale until they’ve proven they can deploy at scale. Both of our projects are industrial demonstrations that are the first phases of larger, contracted projects. In the coming 6 months, we're deploying on two continents simultaneously, with technology designed from day 1 to build at scale. We're growing a portfolio of deployments worldwide, influencing the financial architecture of climate solutions by example. We're excited to get there with Elemental Impact by our side. Thanks to Dawn Lippert, Danya Hakeem, Amir Chireh Mehr, Avra van der Zee, and the whole Elemental team for hosting a timely and much-needed conversation. #firstofakind #futurefavorsthebold #nexttoscale #NYCW #Invest #Water #Climate

We’re proud to share that Capture6 has officially been selected as a qualified team for #XPRIZEWaterScarcity, a $119 million, 5-year global competition made possible by the Mohamed bin Zayed Water Initiative. At Capture6, we’re tackling two urgent challenges at once: water scarcity and climate change. As the global climate crisis intensifies, the need for scalable, economically viable water recovery has never been greater. Water-stressed regions are turning increasingly to desalination, an industry that solves one critical issue: freshwater scarcity, while exacerbating another: the environmentally damaging and costly disposal of brine. Capture6 is implementing a systems-level approach to brine disposal that incorporates carbon removal through industrial symbiosis and co-benefit valorization. By embedding carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technology within existing industrial desalination facilities, Capture6 generates decarbonization as a secondary benefit of addressing pressing issues like mounting freshwater scarcity and costly brine disposal. “𝘈𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦6, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
