🌱 What do you consider to be the biggest breakthrough in crop development so far in 2025? 🌿 What unexpected cultivation challenges have you encountered during a field trial? 🌱 Are there any "forgotten" crops that deserve a revival in modern horticulture, and why? …Three of the many questions that were asked during the ‘new crops’ podcast, recorded at GreenTech Amsterdam this year. Crop experts Henry Gordon-Smith (Agritecture) and Filip van Noort (Wageningen University & Research) talk about experimenting with new crops, forgotten crop types and the challenges they face. From breakthroughs in crop development to the role of AI in optimizing cultivation, this conversation explores how flavour, nutrition, and sustainability are reshaping horticultural priorities. 🎙️ Listen to the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/dPZrXvC8 #Horticulture #CEA #Newcrops #Varieties #Fieldtrial #Forgottencrops
