The feature allows you to easily purchase and send digital Google Play and specialty gift cards to friends, family, or even yourself through the Google Play Store app (not available on the web). You should only use Google Play gift cards or specialty gift cards for their respective brands. Never share the code for gift card redemption. How to send gift cards

You can send a digital gift card easily to share the joy of Google Play content or other brands with others.

  • Recipient information: To send a gift card, enter the recipient's email address or mobile phone number, based on the delivery method that you choose.
  • Delivery: Digital gift card orders are typically delivered within the hour. However, in rare circumstances, delivery may be delayed up to 24 hours.
    • Email delivery: Emails will be sent from googleplay-donotreply@google.com or no-reply@giftdelivery.giftcards.com.
    • SMS Notifications from Google Gift Delivery: These terms apply to transactional SMS notifications for Google’s digital gift card delivery service.
      • Nature of Messages: Google gift card delivery messages are transactional text messages sent solely to inform a designated recipient that a digital gift card or similar item is available to view or redeem. Messages are sent on behalf of a purchaser who has provided the recipient’s mobile number for delivery purposes. The recipient will receive one SMS message per gift delivery if SMS was chosen as the delivery mode by the purchaser.
      • Opt-out Instructions: To opt out of future gift card delivery messages from Google to your mobile number, reply STOP to the message you received. To resume receiving these messages, reply START.
        • Important: If you opt out of gift card delivery messages, you will continue to receive marketing messages from Google for other programs for which you have signed up.
      • Help and Support: If you need assistance with a gift notification message, reply HELP to the SMS you received or contact Google support at Google Play Help.
      • Undelivered Messages: If you think your gift card delivery message is delayed or want to check its status, you can get support from Google Play Help. Carriers will not be able to assist with delayed, undelivered, or incomplete messages.
      • Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply for any messages. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
      • Use of Information: When you request delivery of a digital gift card to a mobile phone number, Google may share the recipient information that you provide with a third-party delivery partner, to be used solely for the purpose of delivering the digital gift card to the specified recipient, as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
      • Delivery to Recipient: Do not provide a mobile number for gift card delivery without permission from the account holder of that number to receive the gift card delivery message.
  • Resend gift card code to recipient
    • If you sent a digital gift card and the recipient hasn't received it, here are a few things to check:
      • Email delivery: Emails will be sent from googleplay-donotreply@google.com or no-reply@giftdelivery.giftcards.com. Ask the recipient to check their spam or junk folder. Sometimes, these emails can be filtered by mistake.
      • Text message delivery: The recipient should check their phone’s storage. A full inbox can prevent new messages from coming through.
    • If the gift card still hasn’t arrived after these steps, you can easily resend your digital gift card by filling out this form.
    • Important: The purchaser must fill out the form and have the order ID(s). You can find the order ID(s) either in your order receipt or in Google Payments center.
