When customers use Google Search or Maps to connect with your business for various requests, Google might contact your business on their behalf through an automated phone call to complete the request. Businesses and customers can use this feature at no charge. When you share info related to customer requests, this can encourage customers to visit your business and buy your products and services.
Available customer actions
- Book appointments: Customers can ask Google to book appointments with specific details like preferred time, service type, and party size. After Google confirms the details, it calls your business to book the appointment.
- If available, Google can book through an online booking partner or by calling your business directly with an automated call. Learn how to set up bookings through a provider.
- Check restaurant wait times: Customers can use Google to check the wait time for a table at a restaurant. Google might call your business to get this info and then share it with the customer.
- Confirm price and availability of services and products: Customers can ask Google to confirm the pricing and availability of services and in-store products from nearby local businesses. Google might call your business to confirm these details. If you share this info with Google, the customer receives an email or SMS text that includes your business's product details or service quote.
- If you've already shared your in-store product details via Google Merchant Center, Google will use that information and will not call your business to ask about inventory. Learn how to manage products in Merchant Center.
Feature availability
Important:
- The calls are monitored and recorded for quality assurance.
- This feature is currently available for select regions and languages and may not be available for all users.

Google is committed to minimizing disruption to your business. When Google calls for these purposes, it limits the number of calls for the same info and avoids calling during late night or early morning hours. Google will only call you when:

- A customer wants to confirm the price and availability of your products or services.
- It needs to check your business hours.
- It needs to check the status of in-demand inventory.
Tip: Google might also call or text your business to confirm the accuracy of your Business Profile details like operating hours and in-store inventory. Learn more about automated calls and texts from Google to confirm business info.
