Emil Adeli 👏 We asked Emil what it means for him winning the Action over perfection award. "What’s one small thing you do regularly that reflects Action over Perfection?" One thing I try to do consistently is take the first small step as soon as possible. It builds momentum, and those early actions often open up the path to real growth for both the team and the work at hand. "How did it feel when you found out you’d won?" It felt great - a mix of pride and gratitude. Action is always a team effort, so knowing my contributions resonated with others was really rewarding. Congratulations Emil, very well deserved! 💚

Exploring Vibe coding with Lovable! 💚 Last week we hosted an inspiring session together with Lovable on vibecoding - exploring how we can build software without writing code. As our Product Domain Lead Susanne Berglund put it: “We’re doing this to build a shared foundation of knowledge, across the organisation, around how no-code tools can help us create even better products and user experiences for our users.” Her key learnings? 💡 Great prompting is the key. 💡 Decentralizing innovation matters. When more people can take ideas to prototype, creativity and momentum increases. 💡 And, a reminder that Hemnet's product minds are incredibly sharp. Ideas turned into tangible prototypes in no time. The biggest takeaway? 👉 The barrier to testing new product ideas is much lower than we think. And the best part of the event? “The engagement! Seeing Hemnet's deep understanding of the market and our users combined with new ways of building was truly inspiring.” Thank you Lovable for coming and thanks to everyone who joined and brought energy, curiosity and creativity to the room! Almost 60% of the Hemneters joined, how cool is that! 🫶

Meet Martin Mileberg – one of our brilliant salespeople at Hemnet! 🌟 Hemnet has one office in Stockholm where all our employees work, except four of our Key Account Managers. This is Martin, who covers big parts of the western part of our country, travelling back and forth helping the brokers make an even better everyday job. You might wonder what’s it like to work with something that almost everyone in Sweden has a connection to? Well, according to Martin, that is actually one of the best parts. In addition, the weeks are full of activities, they might start with a visit on Bästkusten, continue on to Örebro, and finally wrap up in Halmstad. The combination of travelling around and meeting so many different agents and places is truly fantastic! 🚗 His best memories are the ones when his customers (brokers) greets him with “I’m not buying anything” … and an hour later, they’ve bought kind of everything. Wow Martin … how do you do it? What is the tip? ”Well, it is not about selling. It’s about listening, understanding, and helping people find what they really want.” It is the tuning in, he does so well! 🎧 Martin’s mission is that every seller out there should reach as many buyers as possible, and to make sure they get the best possible deal. The tip he wants to give you as buyer, is to be well prepared for the bidding, bid well and do not forget to take out the trash. Yes, we soppåse it is a good idea! The last part was what we call a Göteborgsskämt - a proper Göteborgare ends everything with a joke. So does Martin. 🤩 ☝ BUT the best part of it all; you can become Martin’s new colleague. 🎉Say hi to our new image gallery 👋 We're excited to share that we recently launched our new image gallery. The work started during our Lab week in early spring, where we kicked off the foundation for a modern gallery. After continuing development through the spring and picking it back up after summer, we completed the migration in August. The new gallery features smooth vertical scrolling, pinch-to-zoom gestures, beautiful zoom transitions, and comprehensive support for property images, floor plans, and videos. We also improved performance through thoughtful architecture decisions and optimized the user experience with more intuitive navigation. This completed a major milestone in the Hemnet iOS app: we've replaced our legacy Objective-C image gallery with a completely new SwiftUI implementation - and removed the last remaining Objective-C code from our codebase! The result? We removed 4,547 lines of legacy Objective-C code and delivered a better experience for our users. The new gallery is now live, go check it out! 🏡 Thank you Alexander Persson and Paula Hasstenteufel Denz for an amazing job! 💚

Lägenhetsägare oroar sig inför bostadsaffären En ny undersökning bland Hemnets besökare visar att förutsättningarna att sälja med vinst skiljer sig tydligt mellan olika bostadstyper. Framför allt är det de som bor i mindre lägenheter som oftare tror att de inte skulle få tillbaka hela köpesumman om de sålde idag – något som får stor effekt på aktiviteten på bostadsmarknaden. På småhusmarknaden ligger antalet försäljningar idag på rekordhöga nivåer – hela 9 procent över nivån innan räntorna började stiga. För de mindre bostäderna har utvecklingen däremot varit betydligt trögare. Antalet sålda enrumslägenheter ligger fortfarande 22 procent lägre än under samma jämförelseperiod. Hemnets marknadsanlaytiker Erik Holmberg kommenterar: – Trögheten på bostadsmarknaden förklaras ofta av hushållens minskade köpkraft, men en stor del handlar också om säljarens situation. De som bor i villa har i genomsnitt ägt sitt hem betydligt längre, vilket gör att prisnedgångarna påverkar dem mindre, säger Erik Holmberg, Hemnets marknadsanalytiker. Han fortsätter: – För ägare av mindre bostäder, där boendetiden ofta är kortare, blir effekten desto större. Det skapar en tydlig inlåsningseffekt och bidrar till en splittrad marknad – med rekordmånga småhusaffärer men tröghet för de mindre lägenheterna. Genom att synas tidigt på Hemnet och nå ut till vår räckvidd av två miljoner unika besökare varje vecka ökar chanserna till en lyckad försäljning – du möter hela marknaden, får fler potentiella budgivare in i processen och stärker förutsättningarna för en framgångsrik affär 🤝 Därför tar vi steg för att sänka trösklarna och göra det enklare för säljare att få ut det mesta av Hemnet under hela försäljningsresan. 🎣 We took the bait ... and learned how to spot the phish! 🐟 During our Information Security Month, one of the session held was on phishing awareness. The essentials were covered; how to recognize threats and stay safe online. The best part? Testing our skills at the famous "Phishing Pond" (Fiskdamm)! 🐡 A fun way to practice crucial security skills. Continuous learning and awareness are key to a strong security culture. Thanks to everyone who joined us and thanks to our creative and super engaged Infosec team who did their mega best to make sure we are well updated! 💚
