Launch success! All five satellites, including another fourth generation (Gen4) SAR spacecraft, launched aboard SpaceX's Transporter-15 rideshare mission have established communication, and routine commissioning operations are underway. The new satellites will serve both ICEYE’s commercial constellation and dedicated national missions, including: - Greek National Space Program - Polish Armed Forces’ MikroSAR program - BAE Systems’ Azalea constellation “This launch marks another important step both in supporting our customers in deploying their own constellations and scaling the world’s most advanced commercial SAR constellation. As global interest in space-based intelligence accelerates, ICEYE stands ready to help countries build sovereign satellite missions - turning high-quality satellite imaging into actionable intelligence for security and resilience,” said Rafal Modrzewski, CEO of ICEYE. It was a pleasure to host Minister of Finance Riikka Purra and State Secretary Riikka Slunga-Poutsalo at our Espoo HQ earlier this week. We had a productive discussion on strengthening Finland's sovereign space-based defense capabilities and the growing role of Finnish technology in European security. The visit included a tour of our satellite production facility, where we demonstrated how we are scaling the production of our advanced SAR technology. The discussion highlighted the importance of public-private partnership in advancing Finland's security and technological leadership.

Triggered by unprecedented rainfall, severe floods across southern Thailand have displaced roughly 2.7 million people across multiple provinces. Using our SAR-based Flood Rapid Impact, ICEYE is delivering near-real-time insights on flood extent to help emergency managers prioritize evacuations and allocate resources. So far, our data shows that 15 provinces have been flooded or otherwise impacted, with hundreds of thousands more at risk. In the wake of multiple natural disasters over the past year, ICEYE provided critical solutions to support situational awareness and disaster response across the globe. Our near-real-time SAR imagery based solutions enabled partners and authorities to assess the impact and planned recovery efforts more effectively. Most recently, our team has been monitoring Hurricane Melissa and Typhoon Fung-Wong (Uwan), ensuring consistent coverage even under challenging weather conditions. Supported by the European Space Agency - ESA, ICEYE has expanded its Natural Catastrophe solutions and strengthened global resilience in the face of natural disasters. Dual-use technologies are redefining Europe’s innovation landscape. At this year’s Slush, ICEYE Co-founder and CSO Pekka Laurila joined General Partner at Twin Track Ventures, Nicola Sinclair and Sr Reporter at Sifted, Anne Sraders for a panel on dual-use technology, discussing how it has evolved to become a key topic in European tech — now attracting founders, investors, and policymakers who see its potential to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Pekka shared how ICEYE’s journey began with monitoring ice conditions, a purely civilian application, and how that same technology now plays a vital role in defending Europe and supporting global resilience. With the world's largest radar satellite constellation, ICEYE provides persistent monitoring capabilities when it matters most. #Slush2025 #DualUseTech #EarthObservation Photos: Slush
