  • In some parts of the world, extreme heat is a seasonal phenomenon. In others, it’s constant. For utilities everywhere, it’s a shared threat. As temperatures rise and grid demands increase, substations are operating hotter and more intensely than ever.  Thermal monitoring gives you the visibility to prevent heat-induced failures, without touching a single asset. If you’re operating in a high-temperature environment, this blog is essential reading. https://bit.ly/4mCkkVo #systemswithintelligence #SWI #substationmonitoring

• Systems With Intelligence participated in the VI Academic Conference on Renewable Energies, held from November 5 to 7, 2025, at UTEC Durazno in Uruguay, together with our strategic partner in the country, Circular S.A. Both organizations shared their technical expertise and perspectives on the future of intelligent monitoring for critical energy infrastructure. Showcasing the IM500 to Minister Fernanda Cardona On November 5, during the opening day, the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, Fernanda Cardona, received a live demonstration of our IM500 intelligent thermal sensor. The presentation highlighted: ✔️ Early detection of thermal anomalies through automated analytics ✔️ Continuous remote monitoring of critical assets ✔️ Improved operational safety and reliability ✔️ Real-world applications across substations, renewable generation, and transmission networks Minister Cardona emphasized the importance of advanced technologies that support Uruguay’s energy transition and enhance the resilience of national infrastructure. A Partnership Driving Innovation in Uruguay Our joint presence with Circular S.A. underscores our shared commitment to bringing world-class monitoring technologies to the Uruguayan energy sector. Throughout the three-day event, students, professors, engineers, and industry professionals engaged with the IM500 and learned how utilities across the Americas use SWI solutions to strengthen system reliability and optimize maintenance. Acknowledgments We extend our appreciation to Circular S.A. for their collaboration and to UTEC Durazno for hosting an exceptional event that continues to advance renewable energy innovation in Uruguay. SWI remains committed to supporting the region with advanced analytics and intelligent monitoring technologies.
