My article, "Confusing Cause and Effect: Causation in Sexual Abuse Claims" is now out. In it, I deal with the confusion around causation that has plagued civil sexual abuse cases, by distinguishing liability causation from damages causation. I will also be speaking on this topic at the December 1, 2025 conference, The OsgoodePD Guide to Advanced Issues in Civil Sexual Assault, at which I will be joined by my Lerners LLP colleagues, Madeleine Cleland and Erika Tower. There are many excellent speakers, including lawyers, judges and a journalist, presenting at this Osgoode Professional Development conference.
