We are Burlington's art gallery; a place of intersection where creators, cultures, and communities converge.
About us
At the AGB, we present many regional, national, and international exhibitions each year, and we're home to the world’s largest collection of contemporary Canadian ceramics, as well as seven art and fine craft guilds. We provide art and craft education programs and public tours for people of all ages. Our space spans over 44,000 square feet with seven fully-equipped studios, three galleries, a one-of-a-kind gift shop, a sculpture courtyard, and a year-round conservatory. We are proud to acknowledge that the land where the AGB is located is part of the ancient Dish With One Spoon Treaty and also the Brant Tract Purchase, Treaty No. 3 3/4 of 1795, and we're grateful to the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Six Nations of the Grand River for sharing this territory.

Welcome Peter Pugger to the AGB Team! Last month, we hosted a clay-ribbon cutting ceremony along with our inaugural pug in our Ceramics Studio! Special guest Liz Stirling of the incite Foundation for the Arts had the honours of learning from our AGB studio technicians, Heather and Michelle, about the importance of pugging to our studio practices and got to pug clay herself! Since the beginning of 2025, we have recycled one metric tonne of clay, which is essential to running our kids programs and upholding sustainability in our Gallery. This new piece of equipment will not only make us more efficient, but will also be less physically demanding for those pugging. Thank you to incite Foundation for the Arts for making the purchase of this pug mill possible. We are grateful for their support in helping keep our studios efficient and sustainable.

Russna Kaur’s paintings engulf and disorient. They extend beyond the canvas—cascading across walls, slicing through corners, and redefining space with sculptural urgency. In "Been there twice, haven’t got there yet (the space behind a thin screen, and prying eyes)", Kaur builds an immersive environment that invites visitors to move around and through her work, rethinking painting as both surface and structure. Russna Kaur's solo exhibition opens in the AGB's Lee-Chin Family Gallery on September 20, 2025 and runs until January 4, 2026.
