Looking to make your selfies as unique as you are? The powerhouse photo editor Picsart offers hundreds of ways to add personality to your images.
Start with stickers
Stickers are an easy way to decorate your pics, fill empty space and hide any background mess.
1. Tap the Sticker button at the bottom of the screen, then browse by popular hashtags or search for a term like “flower”.
2. After you select a sticker, resize, rotate and position it wherever you want. Use the tools at the bottom of the screen to adjust opacity (how see-through it is), and add a border or shadow.
3. Repeat!
Try on a mask
Use Masks to quickly apply an effect to your entire canvas – or just parts of it.
1. Scroll over to find the Mask tool at the bottom of the screen, then pick a category. We chose “SPKL 1” in the Sparkle Masks section to add a subtle shimmer.
2. Want your sparkles to appear only on certain parts of your image? Picsart makes that easy. Tap the eraser at the top of the screen, then tap Face (a cool feature that auto-detects any faces in your image) and tap Invert below that.
Find an effect
Apply an Effect (similar to a photo filter) to tie everything together.
1. Tap the Effects tool at the bottom of the screen. Effects are broken down by categories, Sketch (which makes your photo look hand-drawn) and Blur. Here we’ve applied “SUN2” in the Simple category for a sunny, saturated vibe.
2. Tap the name of the filter a second time to fine-tune your look.
3. If you don’t want your filter applied to a section of your photo, tap the eraser tool at the top of the screen and swipe away.
4. When you’re done, tap Apply in the upper right corner.
