Tried this app on a whim for my first year of college essay-writing. While I was first unsure due to the price, the free trial definitely converted me. I wrote an essay for class on the free trial and it was so nice to not have to worry *as* much about my formatting. The price is right around what I would pay for an app like this and so I now have the yearkly subscription. I have my background in Essayist set to the blue/purple mountain scene and I find the colour helps me stay much more into my writing. Devs please keep developing this app and giving it your love! It is great already but it has so much more potential!

My prior masters, During that time, I felt that much of my effort in writing was to ensure my papers met the proper submission requirements, structure and citation methods. I decided to look for a program to help the writing process and discovered Essayist. Very happy with the application and have found the simple interface and tools to manage assignment references, citations etc. a great aid in writing papers. With much gratitude, thank you.

This is a hard no for me. I wanted to test this out for its Harvard format -- the citations were done incorrectly, as in not even listing alphabetically by author. Also (as required by Harvard) there was no section for Outline -- or none that was immediately obvious. Not intuitively useful. The google scholar search was basically useless. Do not buy.You're better off doing this on your own, following any guide that is readily available for FREE on Owl Purdue or other academic sites.
